It can appear anything from a deep red to a red-brown colour and as time passes exposure to light will alter the colour, making it darker. To ensure that there is no shadowing effect, all WaterRower machines are stored in light-free rooms and so will appear light in colour when new and will eventually darken to reach a rich redish shade. Every machine is hand finished with 3 coats of Danish Oil giving a beautiful depth and warmth to the wood.
